Blazing Bulldogs Robotics Team

Over Spring Break, our Robotics Team 581, the Blazing Bulldogs, competed alongside top ranked teams at the Silicon Valley Regional at SJSU. We want to share the accomplishments that resulted from all the hard work, effort, and time our students have dedicated this year:
- We ranked 5th (out of 59) after Qualification Matches, the highest in the team’s history
- We were among the top 2 picks to form an alliance with the second-seeded team captain
- We made it through the Semi-Finals of the Elimination Bracket, finishing in 3rd behind only to World Champion/Finalist Teams
- We won the Industrial Design Award which celebrates the team that demonstrates industrial design principles, striking a balance between form, function, and aesthetics. It is the first in our history
- Rosie Sandoval was a Semi-Finalist for the Dean’s List Award, the highest individual award which recognizes leadership and dedication while…
- Ian Parker won the Dean’s List Award, which is awarded to only 2 students of all teams across the Silicon Valley Regional; Ian will be recognized and will represent us on the international level at the World Championship in Houston this week!
- We are currently ranked 23rd Worldwide out of 3294 teams in the 2023 Season
On behalf of Ms. Choi, Ms. Naveen, Mr. Wragg, Mr David, the mentors, Spike (the robot), and all of Team 581, thank you so much for supporting us all year. We will be back stronger than ever!
