Academic Support
Learning Centers
All 9th and 10th grade students have a Learning Center period built into their course schedule. All 11th & 12th grade students participate in IB Programme skills courses during one semester and a Learning Center the other semester. The purpose of the Learning Center classes is to provide students with opportunities to complete coursework, make up missed work, retake assessments, receive individual instruction and support, and academic enrichment.
Content Area Support
San José High School offers afterschool tutoring and support to any interested students. For more information please contact your counselor or your teacher for availability and participation.
Credit Recovery
Credit recovery is offered at San José High through Edgenuity Online and SJUSD Extended School Year (ESY) Programs. Counselors can discuss your best options and support your enrollment in recovery courses.
