Schedules & Course Requests

Course selection requests are open for 2024-25 school year. All current SJH students should have completed the course request forms and/or met with their grade level counselors before the end of the 2023-24 school year. If you have questions or need to make changes to your requests, please contact Mr. Jahrman or complete the Change of Schedule Request Form. Deadline for Schedule Change Requests is August 12, 2024.

Incoming 9th Graders (Class of 2028)

• Non-SJUSD middle school students outside the district, will need to contact SJUSD Enrollment Center BEFORE you can contact SJHS for course requests for the 2024-25 school year. Students not enrolled will not receive a schedule.

• Students currently enrolled in any school within the San José Unified boundaries who will be entering San José High as a new student in the 2024-25 school year, should verify their requested high school enrollment with the district Enrollment Center.
• Administrators and counselors from SJH visit and communicate with counselors from other SJUSD middle schools to help enrolled 8th grade students becoming 9th graders each spring and to help submit their course requests and learn more about SJH IB Programs and offerings.

Transferring Students

If you are transferring to SJH from outside the district and have ALREADY completed your SJUSD enrollment, please contact SJH to learn more about your options and pathways to graduation.
